OVERVIEW
During my time working with Bafang on behalf of Make it China, I have driven steady social growth through data-driven strategy, overseeing community management and leading social media creative ideation and content creation.
From large-scale giveaways to partner outreach, email marketing, consultancy, data analysis and reporting, market research, and more, I am proud of the work I have done to further cement Bafang’s position as a leading supplier of e-bike drive systems, helping to develop the brand’s human presence and establish positive relationships with customers via online platforms.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT & CONTENT CREATION
I oversee the social media strategy for the brand across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X, with the aims of further developing Bafang’s brand image; growing sales by increasing end-user, customer, and dealer brand awareness, demand, and confidence; and providing high quality customer service support through effective problem resolution and communication.
From creative ideation to copywriting, photo editing, video editing, graphic design, strategy, scheduling, collaboration with partner brands, and large-scale giveaways, I work closely with the Bafang team and associated partners to deliver social communications that are engaging, informative and cohesive across Bafang’s various platforms.
In 2023 I have helped to:
- Drive a 61.4% increase in interactions per impression through the regular release of creative and engaging social content.
- Achieve a 36.2% increase in fans from primary target audiences in the top 5 countries on Instagram through effective targeted advertising and content strategies.
- Ideate, launch, and design a new segment of content called ‘#BafangAnswers’ to further engage fans, facilitate conversation, and offer valuable and insightful content.
- Facilitate a 28.9% increase in messages and comments across Instagram and Facebook through professional, friendly, and timely responses to fan communications.
- Oversee a 41.3% increase in Bafang’s partner content library through partner outreach, relationship building, and collaboration.





COPYWRITING, EDITING, AND TRANSLATION
As well as informative and entertaining monthly blog posts, I also edit, translate, and provide consultancy on press releases and other communications to help ensure clarity, aid with language and cultural barriers, and facilitate effective external and internal communications.
In 2023, I facilitated an update of Bafang’s product ad text to increase clarity and engagement on the regular release of drive system information on social media.



EMAIL MARKETING
I produce quarterly B2B and B2C newsletters, ensuring content is relevant and informative, and that all processes are GDPR compliant.


THE BAFANG LEGACY GIVEAWAY
Bafang celebrated their 20th year of e-bike innovation in 2023! To celebrate, I conceptualised, organised, and executed a large-scale international giveaway via Gleam to reward fans for their continued support. The brief was to produce an activity that highlighted this wonderful milestone for the brand while also highlighting their commitment to sustainability in the sector.
To achieve this we ran a 2-stage giveaway that grew in scale with each stage. Prizes included Bafang merchandise, bicycle accessories from sustainable and ethical brands such as Cycle of Good, onegreenbottle, and Paguro, and finally the grand prize of a brand new e-bike from one of Bafang’s valued partner brands.
The giveaway was promoted via the Bafang blog, social media channels, and newsletters, generating 881 entrants and 696 newsletter sign-ups.
The giveaway is to soon to be followed-up by a series of blog posts and social media posts comprised of user-generated content gathered throughout the activity.
