AIMEE LOUISE

MA Creative Writing [Distinction]
BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism [First Class Honours]

Hello! I’m Aimée, it’s lovely to meet you.

I have been immersed in the ever-evolving world of creative communications for over 8 years. When away from my desk, you can probably find me in the crystalline waters of a hidden waterfall deep in the Bannau, lost in a sleepy seaside town along the south coast of England, or cycling through the Wiltshire countryside in search of the perfect spot to stop and soak in the view.

My background

During my bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from 2015-2018, I gained a solid foundation in creative communications and content production. Photography, video production, audio production, writing, editing, digital magazine production, presenting, interviewing, social media management, I’ve done it all!

During this time, and in the many years since, I’ve continued to develop these skills through a range of exciting freelance and volunteer projects. From behind-the-scenes photography on short films and independent music video projects, to food photography for renowned kitchen appliance brand, KitchenAid. With copywriting and editing, videography, podcast production, graphic design, and illustration projects sprinkled in for good measure, I LOVE working on a diverse range of projects and flexing my creative muscles.

From September 2019, I spent two transformative years working with the UK’s number 1 non-fiction publisher, Ebury Publishing (Penguin Random House). This role required me to wear many hats. From supporting my team members to leading my own comprehensive marketing and publicity campaigns, a day with Ebury was never a dull one! Here, I got to utilise my skills in copywriting and editing, graphic design, communications, social media management, and more, working across a range of high-profile titles and campaigns.

In 2021, I decided to leave London and head back across the border to my homeland yng Nghymru. Here, I pursued my master’s degree in Creative Writing to dedicate some time to further developing my writing and editing skills. During this year, I thoroughly enjoyed crafting my own prose, screenwriting, and poetry, as well as regularly analysing and providing detailed feedback on the work of my peers.

Since March 2023, I have been working with Make it China to provide a wide range of client services – including consultancy, social media, email marketing, market research, networking, branding, events management, and distribution – with the aim of bridging the gap in terms of language, culture, and working practices between the West and China.
